Homer Signal Connectors

All signal connectors are of type D-sub DE-9 male (Fig. 7).

The tables below cover all possible variations of available Homer Analyzer and Homer Autotuner models.

Pins not assigned Signal names and Description in the tables below are not connected.

Remote Connector

The presence of the Remote connector and its pinout depend on

  • the model of the Homer Autotuner, and

  • whether the option Digital Input for Selected Homer Commands has been ordered and implemented.

If the Digital Input option is not implemented, then

  • the Remote connector is present only in the water-cooled Autotuner for 2.45-GHz,

  • the Remote connector has Standard Pinout.

If the Digital Input option is implemented, then

  • the Remote connector is present in all Autotuner types,

  • the Remote connector has Special Pinout,

  • only one CAN Bus connector is present.

Via the Remote connector, a remotely controlled action can be triggered. Which action is to be triggered is determined by the AtSwitchAction value (referred to as Command Code) in the Homer internal Tun.cfg configuration file. The default action is swaping the autotuning ON and OFF. This action corresponds to the Command Code = 0, i.e., the line

AtSwitchAction=0

in Tun.cfg. This default action is also triggered when the above line is missing. Two other Command Codes (actions) are implemented:

02 = Single tuning step

69 = All Stubs Home procedure

In the case of the optional Special Pinout, the remotely controlled action is triggered by a 24 ± 2 V pulse applied between pins 5 and 9. The pulse width must be between 10 ms and 300 ms. The distance between two consecutive pulses must be at least 1500 ms.
